内側前頭前野・後帯状皮質/楔前部・下頭頂小葉(角回)・外側側頭を含み、外的課題が無い安静時に活動が高い。自己参照的思考、エピソード記憶の想起、心の理論(社会的認知)、将来の展望(prospection)、内的思考に関与する。

Includes the medial prefrontal cortex, posterior cingulate/precuneus, inferior parietal lobule (angular gyrus) and lateral temporal cortex; most active at rest. It underlies self-referential thought, episodic memory retrieval, theory of mind, prospection and internal mentation.

ネットワーク破綻による症状 / Symptoms of disruption

エピソード記憶の想起障害、自己参照的思考・社会的認知(心の理論)・将来展望(prospection)の障害。後帯状皮質/楔前部の障害は記憶や意識水準にも影響しうる。

Impaired episodic memory retrieval and deficits in self-referential thought, social cognition (theory of mind) and prospection. Posterior cingulate/precuneus damage can also affect memory and the level of consciousness.

関連する疾患 / Associated diseases

後帯状皮質/楔前部・内側側頭 → Alzheimer 病(後帯状/楔前部の代謝低下と機能結合の低下が早期から；アミロイド/タウ病理)。内側側頭葉 → 内側側頭葉てんかん。

Posterior cingulate/precuneus and medial temporal cortex → Alzheimer's disease (early metabolic and connectivity decline in the posterior cingulate/precuneus; amyloid/tau pathology). Medial temporal lobe → mesial temporal lobe epilepsy.
